Les zones calmes urbaines comprennent des espaces ouverts relativement vastes et continus d'importance régionale au moins, avec une fonction récréative élevée et un développement correspondant pour les loisirs et la récréation. Son importance réside dans la fonction d'équilibrage des zones bruyantes et densément peuplées de l'agglomération luxembourgeoise. Le paysage urbain paisible à proximité de la zone résidentielle permet, par exemple, à de grandes promenades avec des passages occasionnels dans des zones à niveau sonore élevé.

The quiet urban landscape areas include relatively large, continuous open spaces of at least regional importance with a high recreational function and corresponding development for leisure and recreation. Its importance lies in the balancing function to the noisy and densely populated areas of the agglomeration of Luxembourg. The quiet urban landscape close to the residential area allows, for example, extensive walks with only occasional crossing of areas with higher noise levels.

Die Gebiete der ruhigen Stadtlandschaft umfassen relativ große zusammenhängende Freiflächen von mindestens regionaler Bedeutung mit einer hohen Erholungsfunktion und entsprechender Erschließung für Freizeit und Erholung. Ihre Bedeutung liegt in der Ausgleichsfunktion zu den verlärmten und dicht besiedelten Bereichen der Agglomeration Luxemburg. Die wohnortnahe ruhige Stadtlandschaft ermöglicht bspw. ausgedehnte Spaziergänge mit lediglich vereinzelter Durchquerung von Bereichen mit höherer Lärmbelastung.
