Supplemental Information

Twelve seals (7 in October 2007 and 5 in October 2008) were captured and fitted with GPS / GSM beacons in the Veys Bay. GPS locations were recorded per cell on a grid with a pitch of 0.05° covering the entire area frequented by the seals during follow-up. The symbology of the map presented is based on the percentage of locations obtained in each of the cells.
