French Guiana - Brazil cross-border area at municipality level

Vector layer comprising 1 polygon corresponding to the geographical limits of the cross-border area between French Guiana and Brazil at the municipality level. The area is defined by the border municipalities of both countries. It corresponds to a coherent and continuous living territory for local populations. For French Guiana, the area includes the Ouanary, Saint-Georges, and Camopi municipalities; for Brazil, it includes the Oiapoque municipality.

The data was produced using the IGN (Institut Géographique National, France) Admin Express database for the Municipalities of French Guiana (downloaded on 2024-03-25), and the file BR_Municipios_2022 provided by the IBGE (Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatistica) for the Oiapoque municipality. The data was built with QGIS software.
